The curtain has just fallen on the 8th season of Nairobi Fashion Week, which was held from January 28 to 31. Far from being a simple fashion show, this event affirmed Nairobi as a world capital of the new fashion discourse. Under the theme "Decarbonize", the city has established itself not as an "emerging scene", but as the point of convergence between crafts, ecological awareness and culture.
For this edition, the creators have presented a work that goes beyond aesthetics to embrace responsibility. Materials, processes and narratives are aligned to carry a clear message: fashion must turn to regeneration and not the depletion of resources.
